Topic: Tenyo For Sale or Trade Section

Hi,
First of all I would like to thank Steve Brooks, & his wonderful staff who put so much hard work and effort into making "The Magic Café" the #1 Magic Forum!!!

Now here's an idea I would like to share,
I was looking through the items for sale in the "Let's Make A Magic deal" section page after page for a specific Tenyo effect. and I started wondering, and I know it's been discussed in a couple of threads already, but would it be possible to add a section called "Tenyo Magic For Sale or Trade" to the "Room Of Wonders" or "Let's Make A Magic Deal" category, reserved for selling or trading of Tenyo Magic Effects only?

We all know that Tenyo, besides making Excellent Quality and Original magic. Their products are sought after by magicians and collectors alike. Now since there's already a section For Tenyo Of Japan in the Room Of Wonders category, wouldn't it be a good idea to add a "Tenyo Magic For Sale or Trade" section there too?

Izzy, thanks for the suggestion but you don't need to look through page after page for Tenyo effects. Use the search feature, type in Tenyo an select the tricks and effects forum. All of the tenyo items for sale/trade or buy are right there. Currently, there are only 4 topics running for those effects.

That's because most of the sales for Tenyo magic is conducted in the "Tenyo of Japan" section. However if a "Tenyo For Sale or Trade" section were to be added, sales would move to that section.

I think this is a good idea...at least it should be tolerated to offer any sales item in the Tenyo forum itself.

Again, thanks for the suggestion except where do we draw a line? If we set up a sales area for Tenyo, what do we do when some one asks for a forum for Chalet magic for example. You are correct that there are sales offered in the Tenyo forum but they are in the wrong forum. They should be in the sales forums like all other items.

Well, we don't see a section for chalet magic in the "Room of Wonders" category. And as I mentioned earlier, since there's already a section for "Tenyo Of Japan" in the "Room Of Wonders" category, It's not adding something entirely new. Rather it's adding to something that's already there.

I didn't mean the responses to become confrontational. The whole problem is members post sale topics in the Tenyo forum which actually violates the rules. If they followed those rules and posted in the tricks and effects forum, we wouldn't be having this conversation. That would allow a simple search on Tenyo in the tricks and effects for sale forum and those posts would be grouped together as they should.
