What is the toss steal? ......It is a control I developed over the years simply by tossing the pack from hand to hand.
I demonste several ideas using this technique which I like it better than the side ateal .
Here is ademo of the toss steal in action. http://youtu.be/QEs3VWGihn0

I will be in Vegas the next couple of days if anyone is interested in the control just pm me with e mail address or e mail directly
vinsmagic@aol.com for the explaination

I'm not 100% convinced that the "tossing" action looks particularly natural. Looks kind of awkward...you're just moving a deck of cards from one hand to the other, why make such a large action out of it?

If it works for you, great. The mechanics look clever and the steal itself looks deceptive but the cover for it is just too weird for my liking.

Motivation: after you insert the card and squared the deck you toss it over turning to the spectator saying "and now it's your turn to shuffle."

There are plenty of ways to motivate the move. toss the deck on the table, in a hat, in a bucket,...

As long as you aren't guilty about the move, the spectator won't notice it. I did the side-steal in the same fashion. I took out the card and offered the deck to the spectator right after I squared the deck, for them to shuffle.

Thanks guys for the advice , the deck does not have to be tossed one can just hand the deck to the spectator and the card is stolen`
it was just a different take on stealing the card(s)..
