Hi folks! This is a rope and ring trick where the ring escapes (passes through) the rope. I performed this as a kid, and for sentimental reasons, and looking for the published source for this trick. Anybody remember? Thanks! Clay

The trick was created in 1942 by Mark Jacobs and manufactured by Snyder Magic Shop.
If this forum doesn't turn up anything, it might be helpful to contact Haines' House of Cards and see if they know anything else about it. Ronald Haines acquired the rights to the SMS line from John Snyder Jr.'s widow sometime in the 1950's. |

Supreme magic at one time sold it with ribbons instead of ropes.
I may still have it somewhere in my collection. I also remembered that it was writted up in one of the magicgram. Richard Lyn Posted: Apr 18, 2005 11:08am I looked through my Magicgrams, and there it was. Illustration and all. Clay, if you'd like a copy, email me at trickyrickymagic@rogers.com |
