I think that although the criss-cross force is probably the simplest, basis forces there are,it can be a VERY deceptive one, nonetheless.
My questions is this:
Is it really necessary to place the other packet ON TOP of the the tabled packet, or are there other variations?

When time comes to display the card, instead of just lifting off the top packet and showing it, jog the card forward to about half its length then swivel the top packet into alignment with the lower packet, trapping the outjogged, forced card.

Pick up the deck, displaying the outjogged card. This reinforces that it came from the middle.

A similar finesse can be used for the Hindu force.
Was that meant to be edible?
