When watching the zombie ball I was thinking how great it might look as a close up illusion. But whos going to carry all the equipment around for the illusion. Though I have absoletely no idea how the zombie ball works I was wondering if it could be performed seeming "impromto" with a "marble" and hanky. like I said I have no idea how the zombie works so I'm just trying to give food for thought.

You can perform it with a roll bread and a fork impromputu.

It is available as a close up effect. I think that Varnette (? on the spelling) puts it out as the Mini Zombie.

Check with your local magic shop because unless you are a reseller you can not purchase from Murphys.

Once you practice the method with bread and fork, try using a styrofoam coffee cup, stirrer and napkin. I used this setup at a coffeeshop gig I had and made a quci, setup in about 5 minutes.

If you want to have a real understanding of Zombie, get Al Schneider's video. If you can find a copy of his book, that will help, too. Al used to perform it as a close-up effect.
His understanding of Zombie is far superior to anyone who came before him. He also influenced Tommy Wonder and Dirk Losander.
