It's called "Close-Up Illusion", just like it says. It was popularized by Larry Jennings, though I believe it was shown to him by a carnival worker.

It's actually an effect called "The Melting Card" and oh so easy..The cards or I should say one of the cards is NOT examinable. This trick has been around a while...
