If you do not know about your state laws regarding resale, look it up before hanging out a shingle. If your state has adopted the Uniform Commercial Code, know it.
If you have violated a statute either under your state or the UCC, accept it and deal with it. Make ammends or reverse the entire transaction (called making the person whole). Do something right, do not perpetuate the idiocy. We all may be brothers and sisters in this art, but when we start breaking the rules and money is involved, do not expect anyone to simply turn a blind eye. At all times act legally, morally, and ethically and it will not even be a worry. If you refuse to do the above, don't blame your customer when you are called on it . |

I amnot sure what you are exactly talking about here. Did someone violate something?

Ok, what is the UCC? Making a statement without clarification helps nobody.

UCC is the Uniform Commercial Code which, with possible (minor) "state" exceptions regarding some provisions of that code, is the "bible" of law followed by (all or most of?) the states in the United States and it deals with all types of commercial transations. Hence, the name Uniform Commercial Code.
(See the following Wikipedia link for a brief explantion of the UCC: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uniform_Commercial_Code That said, Suppo, what are you getting at here by your post? What point are you trying to make? Are you alluding to a specific instance or a specific dealer action or inaction?
Magic is a vanishing Art.
This must not be Kansas anymore, Toto. Eschew obfuscation. |
