Hello I recently bought many dvd's videos and tricks and in this thread I will tell you my honest opinions on these effects here you go:
Psychokinetic Silverware-Banacheck I highly recommend this its a great video and I learned how to bend silverware with my minds in one day plus the psychology of the video and the humor makes it fun to watch and I love it Great video. Bill Malone on the loose vol.1 Also A great video. Bill is a great entertainer and you could just get the dvd for the performances it's just that good. The effects are awsome, but a little hard so practice is definetly necessary. Mike Ammar etmcm vol 1 All I can say is Red hot mama rules. Who would think such an easy effect would get such great reactions. I like the video a lot even though I fell Ammar doesn't entertain as good as Malone. Paperclipped-Jay Sanky Jay Sanky is one weird, weird man. But the effect is great. The move will require a bunch of practice but the trick looks great and I can't wait to do it. James coats-Mastering the art of watch stealing. A good video although I felt the stealing could be explained better, it's still good. I also felt at some points, that James was a little abusive with the spectators, twisting there arms all over the place, grabbing at they're arms and stuff just felt a little weird, like most people I know would just yell "get the hell off me" lol. I also doubt that double watch steal would work. It seems pretty lame to me. Airtight-Jay Sanky I hate it. A pain in the butt preparation. The instructions arn't very clear, and after a half hour of trying to understand the instructions I gave up. The preview is a little misleading. In A Flash- I don't have any flash paper, so I haven't been able to test it yet. I'll get back to you. Well these are my personal opinions. Feel free to argue, flame or agree with me. Thank you. Airtight is a great trick that really fries laymen. David Copperfield liked it so much he bought the performance rights and did it on one of his TV specials.

Airtight is a great trick. You should've gotten the "Sankey-tized II" video instead of the trick itself.

Regarding Airtight...it's also written up in Kaufman's "Complete Almanac"...for $50 bucks you get Airtight as it was originally released plus about $1,000 worth of great close-up effects...Dingle also has a version...

Sankey-tized II also has "paperclipped" on there. I think airtight is pretty neat, and its relatively easy to do..

Yeah, Airtight is a pretty visual and unexplainable trick! It's fairly easy to perform (few sleights) but I agree that setting up IS a pain (especially with the method provided in the manuscript) but trust me, a little hard work goes a LONG way when you perform. The preview is not misleading at all, he just performed it THAT well
Don't give up on it, trust me, take a look at it again and try again, you won't regret it when you see that look on your spectators face! Cheers, Logan

Richard's Almanac is one of my favorite magic books. I think everybody should own it.

I definitly agree. I was a little held back to spend 75 dollars on a book, but this book is full of wonderful close up effects. Great coin effects, awesome card effects, and other great things like air tight, and green warp. Highly suggested book.
Check out my new effect "As Good As It Gets" a gimmickles pencil or pen through bill effect. It closely mimmicks the slow motion phase of "Misled." About "As Good AS It Gets" for no gimmicks and everything being borrowed.

Haha, hey airtight rocks. And I do watch steals all the time! The technique DOES work but you gotta get the hang of it. Most people focus too much on taking out the watch and keep looking at it instead of concentrating on the other effect done for misdirection. Watchsteals kill~=)

I have airtight, but have only used it once. Not sure why? I will have to dig it out and see if I can fit it in somewhere.
