Hello

I need some help on choosing the type of silk to produce in my manipulation act. What type of silk should I go for? Magicians silk or the heavier type of silk?

Thanks.

Thin silks so they pack smaller so you can produce more.
Check the stuff in the Smooth as Silk section of the Café.

Check with Bob Sanders (grammer supervisor). He is a member of the Café and is "the man" when it comes to silk!

Get the Rice Encyclopedia's of Silk books, and Keith Clarke's Symphony In Silk, and you will find out all you need to know.

You should have no problem answering this for yourself.

The type of silks you want to use really depend on your routine.

Are you only producing them as a standalone silk production? Or are you using it to produce something else after its appearance? And if you are producing something from the silks it also depends on what kind of items (big or small) you are appearing from the silks.

All these variables need different type of silks.

You might want to check in the silk section, "Smooth as Silk."

Dude,i know who you are, can you please stay focus on wat you do? you shifted ur mind concept too often, you are a waste of time and unproductive.

as for silk, wat type of manipulation you doing?
prop production needs diamond cut or thin silks,
to make it look big in volume,
barehand production japanese or china silk will do fine and nice,
watever silk you use it doesn't matter really so as long it is silk. I even use batik silk which works like a charm as well.

Don't you think comments like this are more appropriate in a pm? To post a harsh criticism like this on a public forum shows no tact or true care for this magician. If you really wanted to help him, you wouldn't slam him publicly like this.

I agree with you Peter, and was thinking the same thing. Then I thought perhaps I was missing some small detail in those comments that would make them acceptable?

I bet it is a small personal problem in Malaysia.

It's been a month! What progress have you made? Please bring us up to date.

Bob

PS --- Have you checked out the Smooth as Silk topic?

Sometimes, there is even a real silk deal in the Let's Make a Deal section.

Sorry for the late update, but I've been busy with my university life recently. Anyway, I will be going with a heavier silks for my productions.
