The rare earth magnets at Radio Shack aren't the strogest rare earth magnets but they do work well for some applications, and they do fit well in TT's.

I just salvaged the magnet from the hard drive of an antedeluvian computer. Apparently some hard drives yield one magnet, others two. it is indeed quite powerful (watch those fingers!). The magnet is bonded, probably soldered, to a mounting plate, which makes it a little less usable for some applications (e.g. TT).
Can anyone suggest a good reference for magical uses of magnets? |

Chazpro have a couple of booklets on PK magic - now combined as one volume. Some decent ideas in there.
(see http://www.chazpro.com/pk_magic/pk_magic_page1.html) They also have a range of small magnets - see http://www.chazpro.com/mags.html
