It appears maybe there should be a Mentalist corner, a Psychic corner, a Psychic Entertainer corner and a Skeptic/Debunker corner.
One for each corner of the ring. Dick Brooks

A skeptic board would make a great deal of sense. Especially since many magicians who aren't mentalists have an interest in the whole skeptic thing.
Every mentalism forum I've ever seen eventually decends into this particular quagmire of people bashing those who have views different from thier own. |

As I have said before, why can't they go in with the bible folk and then they can all discuss their belief in the non-existent. The skeptics can pop in from time to time to see how they are getting on. Problem solved.

The obvious solution would be to have a cynic's corner as well, though I wouldn't expect most of you to understand why.
Every problem contains the seeds of its own solution. Unfortunately every problem also contains the seeds of an infinite number of non-solutions, so that first part really isn't super helpful.

Cynic = One who believes that all human behavior stems from base motives.
Skeptic = One who doubts the human ability to percieve reality accurately. |

Entity, I never said I was a non-believer. I am actually open to the possibility of true psychic phenomena. And Hollymental's posts seem to be addressing the issue here in a respectful way, but ironically, you yourself seem to be insultingly dismissive of her posts.
On second thought, maybe it is actually best to have the psychics and the mentalist-magicians posting in the same forum, because it makes for great drama and excitement! Thesis and antithesis make for synthesis, the spark and friction spits out new ideas like a Hegelian dialectic. Of course, just try to remain respectful, without personal attacks. I mean, imagine how dull a forum would be if everyone just agreed with everyone else!
