Every summer I try to find an idea what to wear for my mentalism shows.
It is hot in Israel and the suit + long sleeved shirt is not a good idea. I do want to maintain the 'mentalist character' but long pants + short sleeved **** won't do it as well. Any ideas? |

What's wrong with a light grey linen shirt and black cotton trousers?
how about a pvc catsuit to get them talking?!

I'm in favour of Tomo's style.

Have you ever seen Tomo in that state?

Just go into a quality men's clothing store, describe your work and style, then ask for advice. People who regularly wear high-end suits to work have the same problem in hot climates as you; designers have long ago come up with solutions.
I'm pretty confident the store's advice beats soliciting fashion tips on an internet forum for magicians.

He he. PVC indeed... I habitually live in cargos and t-shirts, but I like a nice black suit and a crisp white shirt for going out in the evenings.

Kilt and a string vest. No underwear. In the middle of a bending routine it helps to whistle 'The Bonny Bonny Banks of Loch Lomond'. It can be quite hypnotic. Especially for lay people. If you don't know how the tune goes contact me on Skype and I'll whistle it for you. But no laughing as that always puts me off.

As a mentalist, I had the feeling that no one will take my question seriously...
Well, only Malchat. This is a serious question. What does a mentalist (character) can wear in the summer? |

What was wrong with my suggestion eh!
maybe a criss angel t-shirt and some stretch lycra stockings? I suppose ultimately, apart from a dolphin outfit or similar - you can wear pretty much anything that's comfortable...as it's you not the clothes that'll be drawing the gasps...

Roei,
Around here, the climate is not only hot but humid as well during the summer months. No matter what I wear, I'm going to perspire. So I tend to lean toward lighter colors. A solid-white shirt shows perspiration less (solid black hides the sweat too but the color tends to absorb heat). So, for me (given the choice), I prefer a pressed all-cotton white shirt with a light, linen jacket. Hope that helps. Best, Mick

OK, Roei,
I'm sorry. In fact, I think that it all depends on your style and the venue where you perform. Hence, Malchat's advice is the best, I think. |

Thank you, guys.
The best solution I guess it to use the service of a dressing stylist or clothing designer. |

Wear a Black Wool Suit, a white shirt and skinny black tie. Also a fedora and black wayfarers. Then stand is the blazing sunlight and DANCE! (And you need to gain a few pounds!)
