I know some hype will argue run time of DVD and how much of contents is not a issue at all and as long as the effect is explained well enough it shall be OK.
Actually if it is the case, then a 3 page E-book with some photo is enough to explain everthing equle to the content of this DVD. Why not e-book? Because they are less money can get. |

I agree with max88. Did the DVD teach the routine so I now have the ability to perform it? YES. Did the DVD go into detail about the types of bottles, types of caps, troubleshooting, best way to prep the bottle and other presentational aspects? Nope. That is my opinion. A video run time should include the video only, not the advertisements. I think most would agree.

Mike Power's VIP small instruction booklet explains the bottle prep in detail - the detail you would expect and tells everything you need to know. I bought VIP for $15 and all I needed was the bottle and caps. So, I think this should have come with one more item - not the bottle or caps, but those that have it know what I am talking about and VIP came with it). I do think that this effect is well worth the money - even though it is the same method for the most part as VIP with different handling. The handling differences, however, are pretty awesome. I also think the blooper mistake should have been discussed more. That is a worry I have - one that skill and practice will not erase. If Justin is out there readying this it would be awesome to discuss that aspect. I have had this happen while the bottle was prepped and just sitting around so it is the major weakness of the effect. I do love performing it - it is pure pleasure to perform and the effect is stunningly better in the audience's eyes to other cap in bottle effects (my opinion).
The weakness has not ruined the trick, but it is the only part I struggle with - any opinions or personal chats we can start about that? Bill |
