The hat he is wearing in the video is in my spare bedroom as I type this! Sadly its one of the few "Harry the Hat" hats that survived Katrina. |

My all time favorite performer!

Wow, great clip. The more I dig into the shell game, the more I like it's broad use and appeal. Magicians and mobs alike are playing the same game, the only difference is how exactly the money is collected. Entertainers get paid up front right?

That clip is from Harry's '86 Showtime special, "Hello, Sucker." The woman on his left is his first wife, Leslie, and the sucker is former stand-up comic (and now writer and sometimes actor) Turk Pipkin.
The music choice (Scott Joplin's "Solace" rag) was inspired. |
