I finally got around to posting David Roth's Hanging Coins on my youtube channel. Here it is:

You did a good job, but I would recommend using 3 coins. I used to use just 3 and I vanish the third with a one-hand vanish. To me it makes more sense to just finish with 3 and finish completely. With 4 it just gets repetetive, the audience know what will happen. I've recently started using Eric Jones' "Mirage et Trois" routine which I think renders the "Hanging Coins" obsolete. I never liked the movement of placing the coin in the opposite hand and switching all of the coins over to the other hand to wave them over it's just confusing (and confusing to write).

Thanks! Much appreciated...
I think I personally like the original way to do it better. If I was to do three and then a one handed vanish I wouldn't be able to end clean... meaning I would have to ditch the coins. I agree though that it is a bit repetitive. The routine goes by so quickly though it's not as big of a deal as if you were doing a longer repetitive routine. All in all though everyone's performance styles vary were you might not like the confusing handling and another might like it. I'll be sure to check out "Mirage et Trois" by Eric Jones and once again thanks for the advice. Sam Weiss

Sam,
the routine Prototype is referring to is the 3rd phase of my routine Mirage Et Trois, in which I vanish three coins one at a time ending in a display that shows both hands "empty". I think it is a great substitute to the Roth Hanging Coins routine, though I don't think that it renders Roths work obsolete. However, it accomplishes something I didn't like about most hanging coin routines. I can't stand the back and forth handling. I don't think you should take a single coin of a fan with the free hand, place it into the hand holding the coins then take the coins at the fingertips in the free hand, just to make a coin vanish. It seems a lot more natural to just use the free hand to take the single coin and hang it in the air. If you're interested, Mirage Et Trois can be purchased from my website, or http://www.Kozmomagic.com

Mmm... exactly I agree with you... it doesn't render Roth's Hanging Coins obsolete but yours is a superb way to accomplish it in a more natural way (I just checked it out the other day).
I've put your Mirage et Trois on my "got to have" list so hopefully I'll be practicing it soon Thanks! Sam

Yea, I apologize to David Roth for that comment. with the "Hanging Coins" he really exploits the value of edge grip, the routine is not obsolete. I just meant to say that Eric's routine accomplishes the goal more naturally and economically, which makes it feel more convincing and less confusing than the back and forth of "Hanging coins".
