During the past year I have amassed thirty 1800 era English Pennies. Seven of these are 1888. One is a Canadian large cent. One is a bun heaead Victoria, and the most recent is a VF grade Jersey seal Penny. The remaining bun heads are in fair to poor condition due to the many hands they must have passed through. This alone gives me pause to reflect on the coin thoughts shared by Tony Eye.
A Canadian coin? Yes, it plays into my theory of who the Ripper may have been. I hope others of us still have old jack on their minds. Kotah |

I have an 1888 penny - cost around £5 from the big auction site, as well as Jersey shilling from the same date.
I use them both in JTR effects, obviosuly, but also as a generic historical object for effects like "White star".

Old engliah copper coins circa 1880 plus are readily available on that auction site. Quite often very cheap. Unfortunately unlike modern British 'copper' coins they don't react as well to that gadget we often carry.
