What popcalinda linked to looks like it could produce some serious amount of noise. Chinese products this inexpensive usually neglect giving attention to these "minor" details. Also, the description lacks mentioning anything about it being silent, and the demo has music(?) added, so I think there's a good chance this thing produces an unacceptable amount of noise. If anyone buys this particular product then let us know how it is.
It's a pleasure for you to stop by, Doc. |

Maitre D, you are maybe right. But for that price, you can get one and check. You think that $150 versions are better then this, or someone is just making good profit getting them for $20 and reselling for $150?

The $150 one looks better to me and is probably worth the extra money. But who knows, it's just a guess. I've tried neither.

That Ghost switcher looks horrible. It's not even worth a presentation in a magic gambling demo.
Would not go near that! |

Just a thought that builds on or at least partially builds on adding the holdout to a close up pad, but you might be able to put the gamblers holdout (electronic) in dean dill's proudction pad (if it would even fit)? This was way you could quickly do a one for one switch. Might be worth looking into actually . . . hmmmm.

So you know some gamblers who use close-up pads?

You mean you never heard of, or saw, a professional gambler walking up to a casino Blackjack Table, plunking down his closeup pad on the layout prior to hand mucking on the game?

I personally never go out without my close-up pad (scarlet ones are my favourites).

Artie, at this point in the thread everyone has already established it's not a gambling device. So I felt no need to even try to sell it as such and was contributing an idea, that's about it. It's only a thought and how you choose to interpret it, I leave to you.
