Hey friends,
Since my main language is not english, I'd like your help about the mail I recieved. I recieved this response from the postmaster. Because of the over used terms I'm not sure if I understand it correctly. Can someone please advise me what to do explaning what the reply means? ******************* I am in receipt of your inquiry concerning solicitation you received that you suspect to be fraudulent. The Postal Inspection Service is the law enforcement arm of the United States Postal Service. Among its responsibilities is the investigation of complaints of possible violations of the mail fraud law. To establish a case of mail fraud, it is necessary to prove that there has been an intentional scheme to defraud. Often preliminary investigations indicates that poor business practices––not fraud or false representation are the cause of complaints. If there is sufficient evidence that a violation of mail fraud has occurred, the United States Attorney will consider prosecution. If criminal prosecution is not authorized, the matter may be forwarded to the Postal Inspection Service Office of Counsel who can proceed to deprive the violator of receipt of mail. Tell them that Snap Illusions is a mail order company. Let them know that you paid a large sum for the merchandise. Let them know that the vendor took the money, never mailed the product and has failed to respond to any and all correspondence. Send them a copy of the wire transfer you made. That should get the ball rolling.

Unfortunately, since a Wire transfer does not go thru the Post Office, they can do nothing since they are not yet involved. It is the State's Attorney that needs the information.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

My name is Doruk Ãœlgen. I have ordered a stage show merchandise from a manufacturer ( Snap Illusions LLC ) in Indianapolis, IN 46237 . Their website is http://www.snapillusions.com . I have their full adresses and phone numbers and also bank accounts which I have paid that I can send to you. I have payed $2000 plus expenses to the company to recieve the items in december,2009. I have not recieved the items or a refund and they are not replying their emails or phones. They are actively working (updating their website) but they aren't doing the necessary action to refund me back. I have payed via bank to bank transfer, therefore cant use a chargeback method to get my money. I have the documents from my bank which I have attached to this email showing that I payed. I have been trying to sol ve this issue but cannot. A friend told me to contact this email address informing you about this mail fraud. Can you help me or lead me to a place where I can solve this issue? Best regards, Doruk Ãœlgen |

"Internet promotions that involve the use of the U.S. Mail"
I would say this would qualify. You should also contact the Attorney General. Someone needs to close these people down. Good luck. |

A friend of me has been ripped of too. He ordered an illusion, paid and he did not received it. There is no answer to phone calls and emails are ignored. But it seems that they are still in business, they added some illusions on there site and when you send them a mail that you will order something they will answer.
For me it seems that this guys are criminals! Maybe they will ship orders in the USA but they know that it is hard to do something from Europe or Asia if they deliver nothing.

I heard that Jack from SNAP Illusions is identical with Jack Moyer.
Anybody knows where he might have a performance in 2011? Maybe some "satisfied customers" show up or sent someone to represent them? Doruk Ãœlgen: Any outcome up to now? I am ready to spent some money to put this Jack Moyer and his Snap Illusions out of fraud business. Anybody wants to join? epoptika: Was your comment 100% joke or did it contain a little truth? Maybe someone can come up with some creative ideas (like putting the website of Snap down). |
