What trick does this printing cut belong to? It was in a box of McComb items at the Castle swap meet. Looks familiar but I can't place it.

Reminds me of the SPOOF video of Ed Alonzo and his "chair-suspension" on YouTube--when the board with the "old lady" on it - fell down. (it was a GAG routine with an actress, not a real mishap).

Mmm, very similar!....but for a Whoopee Cushion, I think the text would be: "Poooof!", as opposed to "BOOM!".???????

I wonder if it was used for Berland's atomic coin vanish. Billy was a good friend of Chris Reesman who owned the Berland line. I can see Chris giving the block cut to Billy. Just a guess. I would say it is circa 1930's judging from the materials and style of drawing. Kind like Sid Lorraine's early stuff he did for Horace Marshall.
