Daryl sells the rope that he uses at his web site. It is great pure white round rope, and I think that it is 3/8" in diameter.

Hi mtstic44, Welcome to the Café.
It really comes down to personal preference. I guess there are no such things are "the best" ropes.. Some people use Uday ropes just fine, while some prefer Elite rope, some prefer cored, while other prefer non-cored. I did not have the privilege to use these, because shipping cost would have doubled the price of these ropes for me, but I've heard nothing but good things about these Baronian ropes. http://www.baroniantrading.com/Ropes.html Here are 2 threads on the subject that might be of help to you. http://themagiccafe.com/forums/viewtopic......rum=9&98 http://themagiccafe.com/forums/viewtopic......rum=9&31

The best rope to use is the rope Abbott's Magic sell by the spool. It is the standard before all the India Rope hit the market. Soft and you can remove the center core if you wish, easily pulls out.

I think it depends on what you are doing, coupled with personal preference. I prefer the stage-size Elite Rope for most of my rope effects, but there are a few things that seem to work better for me if I use smaller rope.

Where do you all get your rope from? I've been ordering from hocus-pocus. I'm using the parlor elite rope.

Do you do cut and restore with the elite rope?

Hey Al,
I only have the elite rope set for PN. I use a cheap rope I bought at wal-mart for mongolian pop knot, but it's TERRIBLE. I am going to start using the elite rope for the Pop Knot Routine. On a side note, how have you been, Al? |

I'll see you at our September SAM meeting. You know that there is rope less expensive than elite, but not as bad as the stuff you get at WalMart. Above you will see Dany, and Ian's web address, and the cary a variety of rope. I'd also recommend Denny Haines for some cut and restore rope. The Mongolian Pop knot sure uses up a lot of rope.
