I don't know about being the "Best Packet Trick Of All Time", but two venerable "Excellent" packet tricks that still garner a great reaction are Larry West's (original?) THE WHOLE THING and his WILD WILD WEST.

Both were produced by the partnership of Larry West & Arthur Emerson (AKA Emerson & West).

Eventually, twisting the aces and Dr Daliey’s last trick may be the very best.

I agree with you. I have a version of Dr Daley's Last Trick that blows people's minds.

I also have a version of oil and water that is super fun and deceptive.

I think the key to a good packet trick is that it be entertaining, involve the audience, and obviously, deceptive. Dr Daley's Last Trick does aoo of those when dne in the spectator's hands.

I also think that packet tricks are best when cards are removed from the deck, especially when you are hiding a gimmick in the deck. My Dr Daley trick uses a gimmick that won't be found even if someone tries to find something.

I think my favorite is Mark Mason's "Crossword." The spectators loose there minds when the cards change from mine to yours.

There are many, but one I’ve always liked is Bruce Cervon’s Dirty Deal.

Return of the Magnificent Seven by John Bannon (from Smoke and Mirrors). An ungaffed wild card effect.
