I'm very intrested in these, and I know that Jon put out good stuff, but I'm wondering if anyone has actually purchased any of this series and if they found them helpful.

When I heard rumors that John was going to start this project, I haunted both him and his site waiting for news. I took my first bite the day the initial DVD was released, and made a meal of the rest as they were released. If I did not find value, would I have purchased all 5 volumes? I found them interesting, thought provoking, and exciting.
I will say is that if you have just a casual interest in the subject manner, these are not for you. Also if you are expecting L&L production quality and a studio audience, you won't find it here. What you will find is a systematic examination of many areas of the field discussed and expounded upon by one of the most knowledgeable practitioners in the arena. You will find “whats”, “whys”, as well as “hows”, and a whole bunch of “nots” and "do nots". Expect much more than a lecture, expect to be lectured to. These are a surreal walk through John’s mind, sometimes disturbing, not always a straight line, but it gets to where it is supposed to. I enjoyed the journey and am looking forward to further excursions. Tony |

Thanks Tony, that's what I was looking for. I'm not so much looking for production quality as I am looking for material quality. I've been on the fence for a while now, and think I'll go ahead and start with one and go from there. The price of the entire set was kind of daunting.
Carefull what you catch there in Innsmouth, I hear they can throw YOU back. |
