This sounds great, I've always especially wanted John Bundy and Morgan to lecture.

John and Morgan both do a creditable job of lecturing. Both know there stuff. I have worked many shows with both of them backstage and onstage. They are pros.
I hope John goes into the difference between a static show and traveling or one nighter. Promoting the show and blocking the show. I think some of the most important information he can impart is the real world of doing illusions. I would also hope that you would archive this on tape for posterity. David Seebach did a great lecture at Abbott's a couple of years back. It ran almost 2 hours and seemed like 15 minutes. It was a shame it was not taped. Richard BTW, John Tudor did a very nice theatrical presentation of the Hindu Basket at MATB. Well done!

I will be taping this because it is a rarity to have such great lectures. Even Morgan and her knowledge of "Assisting the Magician" as well as her ability to be an accomplished Illusionist and Escapist, and of course "Wonder Woman". She is a talented remarkable person. Let's Not Forget she is a Winner of the World Magic Awards!
Let's not forget Duane Laflin, has been performing at the Magic Beyond Belief theater in Pigeon Forge, TN for several years. I have taped his impromptu lecture on Illusion Show Format at KIDabra, several years back. That lecture was a powerhouse and something I always wanted to know. It doesn't matter what illusions one uses as long as the format is used. Now with many years under his belt, Duane, like John Bundy and Morgan, has a lot more to offer. Conversations with John over the phone on creating set designs for the smaller traveling show, as well as large shows is one area he will be discussing. John wants the Illusionist to break free from the mold of using the standard off the shelf illusion. Yes, you can use the illusion, however, he will discuss "How to Dress-Up the Illusion" and make your show uniquely different. John is a specialist at this. We cannot forget music, sound, and choreographing a show! There will be a panel discussion also just for those questions unanswered during the days numerous workshops. Add in the fact there will be quite a few "used illusions" for sale "at rock bottom prices". My only concern is that it is a specialized topic/lectures/seminar/conference, and we have enough attendee to make this happen. This is why pre-registering is so important. Please let you magic club members know this seminar is available! Go to http://www.illusionshows.org/Flyer2.html and print out the flyer for your group. Also there are some free documents in the Additional Information Section on Illusion Show Format and Building a Stage, and Sound Systems. http://www.illusionshows.org/ It is going to be one powerhouse of a seminar! Please Register ASAP so this seminar can happen!

The magic is not in our sleights and illusions, but instead in our ability to bring love and joy.

I have to chime in about how great this opportunity is for you guys in the New Jersey area. John and Morgan are incredibly talented and knowledgeable, as well as down to earth. I have admired their work for several years now, and have had the opportunity for them to counsel me on parts of my act. Their advice is spot on and invaluable. I wish that I could attend!

Thanks Christopher,
You are absoultely right regarding John and Morgan! This is truly a rare opportunity and I am working hard to make it happen. So much knowledge in one place at one incrediably low price. One would pay hundreds or even thousands of dollars to get the kind of advice that will be available that day.

The Illusion seminar was canceled for several reasons. 1) there were two other illusion happening that day, Jersey Jam and one at Grasso theater. 2. Add in the Duane Laflin starts his new illuion show on March 29, in Pigeon Forge TN. and lastly and most importantly, this is not like other conventions with a broad range of things, it specifically appearls to illuionists and those who want to learn the business of Illusions.
It was important that we had at least enough registrants to cover expenses, and that didn't even come close. Add in there is a time limit for the convention space where I would be held liable if cancellation was less than 30 days. What we have in mind now is a special by invitation only at another location when we have enough people interested. We are working on that now. Times are tough for everyone and the timing and notification was short. We do want this seminar to happen, but we are now looking at those who truly are interested and want that special invitation. Contact me if you are interested and you will be put on that "invitation only" list: DennisMichael@Dowhy.com
