Hi guys. I saw this at Lybrary.com (link below)
http://www.lybrary.com/wild-color-twist-p-107392.html And I was just curious. After watching demo of it on youtube, I was left confused after watching the routine. I thought there was just too much going on to absorb it all. A link to the video of the effect is below: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ytqmdGjQpA I guess there's no real reason for posting this. But I was curious as to if anyone else felt the same way about this. Any comments would be great. Thanks guys, James |

Yeah!
I know John (We are both involved in an intriguing project at the moment) and I directed him to this, and he replies: "It's a "Twisting the Aces" routine. If they need me to paint them a picture, I guess this would be it: 1. One ace is reversed. The packet is turned over. There should only be one ace reversed. One by one, the other three aces turn face up to as well, concluding with all four now faceup. 2. The process is repeated. One ace is reversed, however, this time, their is only one faceup ace in the packet now (magically), the AS. 3. This single reversed card then changed into the AC, then the AD appears faceup, leaving 2 faceup aces and 2 facedown. 4. The AC turns into the AS, then all the aces with the exception of the AH (turned facedown originally) turn into AS. 5. All the aces go back to being just one of each suit. They are revealed to have different backs. I think it's a pretty neat routine, and I've done it for real audiences enough to know that it goes over very well (if he doesn't believe me, there are many more live demos on YouTube for him to check out). Also, if it helps, I took inspiration from a Paul Gordon's "Psychedelic Foursome" and Cameron Francis' "Cards Gone Wild". Thanks for your interest in my work." |

Thanks for posting Kyle. I never doubted that the audience reactions weren't good, since this was a marketed release (so it obviously was road tested). It was just my opinion at the time.
That's good to see that this does get good reactions. Thanks for the reply. |
