NASA Makes frozen smoke

CNN) -- Cooked up in a NASA laboratory, a gel that is 99.8 percent air has been designated the least dense solid in the world by Guinness World Records.

I have absolutely no idea what we might use this for if we could buy it, but maybe one of you out there has been waiting around for exactly this compound.

Any ideas?

Sponge balls?

Imagine doing sponge life-size automobiles.

If the stuff has a spring back to it's original shape "memory," you could pull an automobile from your pocket. If not, you could still probably levitate a "car" or bowling ball or whatever the way you would a dollar bill!

Unfortunately - this stuff seems to be solid (so no use for sponge balls) - but it is almost invisible and is a great insulator. Maybe there is a mgical use here?

Fill a balloon with it and you could start with needle through ballon and move on to swords, You name it. Cool stuff. Lots of possibilities if it ever comes available.
