However, to get back on topic and answer Mr McDonal's question.
The Cuss Card Kings were the original cards I used way back in what could well have been the medieval period (well, quite a few years ago anyhow). I was happily using these when someone pointed out that they looked too pretty and not authentic enough. Now, although I never had anyone I performed this to complain, the comment was true and it stuck under my skin, travelled through various tracks to my creative ovaries, where the horrible child later called Cuss Cards Elite had it's bloody birth. So, in short, the Elite set can be padded off as authentic to anyone but a load-mouthed medieval scholar (don't you just hate 'em!). The Kinds Cuss cards defiantly cannot. However, there is a definite ruse for performing them with integrity that is given in the book. When this ruse is played out correctly, the Kings can be just as powerful as the Elite set. Nice as nice props are, we all know that the true performance exists in the skill of the performer and in the imagination of the audience. I still use the Kings cards, and if you look aat them up close, you can see just how much time went into the design of them. Here is an example...... ....wick'd!

I too love my Kings Cuss Cards Set, I decided to age them myself last year, and now they look authentic and even more beautiful. To be honest, I actually prefer the design of the Kings set instead of the Elite set. but that is just my opinion.
Thanks Chris, for creating and sharing your great work! |

Got my set last week, tonight I performed them in front of a live group of sitters.
the reaction I got was really strong, the poor guy was not wanting to turn over the card no matter what I said or did, but when I reached to turn it over he started for the card. I played the fact that the game must end with one of us being cursed and that one of us would have to turn it over. in the end he turned it and you could see the sweat start to run as he did so. all in all it was a fun game that had thrills and chills. ty for making these up for us Christopher I'm glad I made the purchase. |

This is definately my next purchase, when Old Scratch delivers our contractually appointed, yearly obligated amount of scratch...
