This question may sound silly? but can the 1p coin unique surface be damaged from a permanat sharpie pen,i mean take the surface colour off? as I would like to mark them in an effect I am working on.

If you're using permanent marker, how would you know if it was or not? Also - when you say 1p, do you mean English pennies? They're not expensive coins, just try it and see.

Coin unique is made from real coins. So try it on a non gaffed coin and see.

To be on the safe side use an erasable marker, the type that is used on a white board.
