I have been using Psypher for several months now but recently ordered a new one and the impression is horribly not working. Sometimes, I don't even see anything.
Any tips? 1) I took of the seal on the impression pad. 2) The "thing" which comes with the pen is aligned and is perfect. 3) Even if I write BANG ON IN THE MIDDLE as instructed, it still doesn't work. Any advice? |

One word: ParaPad. An infinitely better option.
(Or is that two words???) David PS: I had issues with Psypher back when I was using it. I'm not sure if this is referenced in your point #1, but there is a plastic layer you peel off of the sheet. They don't tell you about it. I have no idea why. You're never going to be GUARANTEED good images ALL the time with Psypher.

I find that if I haven't used it in a while you need to 'wake it up' by rubbing the wiper on both sides for a few minutes. If that doesn't help I'd contact whoever you bought it from, you may have a bad batch.
Or, as David said, use ParaPad. It is excellent. Tony

I had the same problem, I found the parapad/Riggs device to be the way to go.

When calibrating you need to watch the DVD and take your time. I have gotten many many PM's over the oast few years from people who boght Psypher and got too enthusiastic with the tapping and ruined their pen. Buy a new pen and then watch the DVD... or go buy a Parapad.
