I wouldn't say it is novel, but I use a brown lunch bag. I put it between the two covered jars. I sing the PB and J song at the end I sing Jelly Jelly and show that the PB jar disappeared and there are two jelly jars. I then open the bag that I had shown as empty and a jelly sandwich comes out.
I do that because of all the peanut allergies. I haven't had a show where someone had an allergy, but I wanted to preemptively take care of it. The kids love it too. I did produce one once from a servante. I used an extra tube though. |

If you have a Dremel tool, and you are just a little skilled using it, I suggest you make a double sided tin lunch box. It will cost about $25 and take you about 1 hour to make.
I have the instructions how to make this, on this site but you need 50 posts to get too. |

Thanks guys. I like the lunchbox idea and I do have a Dremel tool. I think I can figure out how to do this.

This is also a great trick to use a vanishing catsup bottle. After producing your sandwich, tell the kids you need to put some catsup on it. 9 out of 10 kids will make a uggg sound. Then say OK. No catsup, and put the bottle in a paper bag and crumble it up. A great ending to a great trick!
