I have replaced my table case connection (flange) to the tripod stand. Now they all fit on this flange... It is much more stable than my other options.

The flange is off a drum seat, referred to as a drum throne. Different styles have different flange connectors, but several types will work. I couldn't find a supplier for just the bracket at a reasonable price, so I bought a used drum throne off craigslist for cheap. FYI.

That's a great tip! Much more sturdy than a typical pipe flange, no doubt.

I like it, especially the fact that the extensions make for a really sturdy connection. Very cool.

I like it a lot. Thanks for posting. I may copy your design if that's ok? I have a case here that I was thinking about doing something similar.

No problem. It is a common design, but people try different things for the flange. If anyone finds a supplier for the specific part online (for a reasonable price), please post a link. Thanks...

Yep. That's the one I found as well. With that price, plus shipping, you can do better for an entire throne on Craigslist.

I walked into my local music shop that rents equipment and asked them if they had any. They had six at $5.00 a piece. I couldn't get my hand in my pocket fast enough. That was twenty years ago. I just keep rejuvenating my tables with the same flanges. I've looked high and low for a supplier and I can't find one.

Michael - that one looks like it "might" swivel... could be trouble if it does.

I'm seeing the same thing - you can buy a whole used drum throne for cheaper than just the flange on ebay
