I have never used doves in my act and am looking into it. What resources would you suggest to start of with? I am looking for two things: How to take care of doves for beginners and what dove props one can make for yourself. I already own a dove pan and a dove try, but want to first study the subject before I even attemp to do a dove routine. Also sleight of hand with doves would be great. And yes, I will not attempt any dove routines without studying up.

My advice is to search this section, all your questions have been answered many times in this forum. Also just go to websites like www.abbottmagic.com and go to the dove section and read what they have to offer. Dove manipulation is not published anywhere, but after you learn the basics, you should be able to figure out the moves.
Do your research and it will payoff for you. |

Look at this topic. You should read or watch as many of these books and DVD's as you can before jump into dove magic. Everything listed is a good resource but I'd recommed the Tony Clark series, Amos Levkovitch, General Grant, Greg Frewin (expensive but worth it) and Ian Adair. Also, take Bill's advice and search through this forum. There are many threads dedicated to this subject.
