With the recent release of iOS 9, City Prediction stopped functioning because of a change in the OS. The developer released a fix, but some users were not pleased with the workaround. I have discovered two ways to make City Prediction work as it originally did. One method requires a little more input from the magician PRIOR to the spectator choosing a city, but the end result is an actual map app opening to their selection. Obviously I have contacted the developer and we are currently emailing each other about this. If he chooses to not use my fix, there is still a way to make it work without him changing the app. Of course I'd love for this fix to be implemented into the app, but if that is not possible I am willing to release my fix to the users directly. Stay tuned.
P.S. If any other developers are having problems with the "Open App" prompt (Greg Rostami, Inject), please PM me.

In China, The city prediction app can work well without using VPN before iOS 9, recently, the spectator cannot open the map app from the website at all.

Josh, are you only willing to share with developers at this time?
Alot of us have stopped using the app because it doesn't feel nearly as fair with the OS restriction...we'd love to hear how to get back to working conditions if you'd be willing to explain... |

I second that! That would be awesome if this is possible.

I would love to share this info with everyone, but I want to give the developers time to decide what they want to do. I don't want to step on any toes. Plus, the code I have needs to be implemented into the developer's app. You couldn't do much with it as a user.
I am working on a workaround for City Prediction that doesn't require the developer to do anything. If and when it is released, you'll know here first.

Ah. Did not realize it was code based, I thought it was procedural addition of some sort.
So awesome you are working on this. Wishing you luck and thank you taking the initiative! I think a ton of us will be greatful if a solution is found! |

Yes,
Josh and I have been in contact regarding the solution. It's amazing that Josh has discovered this solution. The only problem is, during your performance, you will have to do many things that you normally didn't have to do with the pre iOS 9.2 release. Also, at the end of the performance, there is some extra clean up work that the magician has to do to erase evidence. Hani and I are very grateful that Josh has decided to share his discovery with us. We will be examining ways of making Josh's discovery more streamlined. all the best, Greg Rostami |
