A tiny update: Sent Mr. Gerard my personal e-mail. (Through his site, which, only allows a personal e-mail, no message) If he responds?, then, I'll ask him. I'll get back to everyone, here.

From the way it's shot - it would most likely be a stoodge wouldn't it [?]

Do note that Comments are switched off - so I would suspect it's not real

I doubt Mr Gerard can 'sell' you this trick, unless he's gonna be loaning out his friend [?]

For those who haven't seen the trick

The stoodge is given a deck [never shown any of the faces of the cards] - asked to pick a card in her head, and a number to deal to.

She deals to that card... it's put to one side and is not touched by the 'magician' - she is then asked what card she choose... it was the right card. Then the magican shows the rest of the whole deck is blank face side up.

This is either not a self working trick, or the best self working trick that has ever been devised... hmm, I think this thread is in the wrong forum

The video is from 2013, so I would think if it hasn't been released by now...

I would have thought a light discussion of - 'this isn't a self working trick, is it?' - followed by 'yes it is' or 'whoops you are correct, this is in the wrong forum' - would be ok [?]

But - I didn't even know that you can't talk methods in the forums - and I haven't even noticed the 'secret sessions' forum at all

I've not heard of Gerard before this thread. From the video I presumed he was an amateur [from how it was performed and filmed] - I was surprised to read other forums suggesting he is rather revered by many.

I believe he used to post on these forums - so you may get lucky with a direct PM from this site [?]

He informed me to sit-tight. He will be releasing, hopefully, a DVD?, a book?, that may answer my question, on/or/about 9/30.

It also has the effect: "The Formula." As per Mr. Gerard, "...it is very close to the effect that is shown on You Tube."

'Episode One' is being released on 11/07.

A tiny update:

Mr. Titanas just posted the upcoming release of 'Episode Two'. (On 01/23)

Unfortunately, the listed effects don't seem to use (or include) "The Formula."

Sent another message to Mr. Gerard, asking if it may be on a 'Episode Three'?
