It works great applied for on just one card too. It wears out a bit quicker but because it’s so easy to apply it doesn’t matter. No fumes, no fuss, no drying time. I can apply it while watching TV and I can do an entire deck in less time than it takes to properly shake a can of SF. |

Yes Videoman I totally agree that some things just work better for some people than others . I have seen many magicians with the same R & S deck working flawlessly over 100,s of performances .
I think it comes down sometimes to how dry or moist your hands are , and also even how hot or cold your hands are . Horses for courses I would say but I certainly find if you have problems with R & S then sprays seem to have much better friction in my experience |

Has anyone tried using this: "Krylon K07020007 10.25-Ounce Easy Tack Repositionable Adhesive Spray"?

I have not but I have tested Flex Seal and Rustoleum clear matte versions with satisfaction. I made a template so that only a strip about and inch wide down the center of the card gets treated and we know that only one side of the card needs the treatment for effectiveness.
Tannen's offers mini cans of Testor's Dull Coat that people have also used with satisfaction. 👍

To be honest I just use a 3m type spray now (very lightly) and pluck (lift off separate) the jokers at the start. As the sticky Joker is now on the the table on top and slightly overlapping the other Joker when you pick up singularly it reverses their order and then they will always be perfect at the reveal.
You don’t need to worry as much as I do but I love this effect and I never want it to inadvertently fail. This way it never ever does Gaz.😊 |

When you say, very lightly does that mean just one light coat or a single swift spray acoss the card from 18 inches height?

This may seem counter-intuitive but revisiting this after a number of years, I started to tinker with jokers of a different color than the deck being used. Blue jokers coming from my pocket to a red deck (or vice versa). It gets better reactions and just seems more impossible to people. They know you've been using a red deck. They see you add two blue jokers to the top of the deck, they know there are no other blue cards hidden in the deck since you've been using it. Just position the joker as you turn your back while they sign the card and you're all set.
Also, I see many people use plastic-dip or SF to make the gimmick. I just put a couple of light layers of repositionable glue stick on the back (center rectangle) of the "little joker". Let it dry for a bit, then another second to scrap off the extra glue with the edge of a card and it never fails. Wouldn't use it for other things, but for this its quick, easy and effective. |

Love the idea of odd-backed cards doing the work. I do this strolling and it absolutely slays. It's one of my favorite miracles that's so simple and clean to perform.

I have outsmarted myself.
I 'made up' a few sets of MITM joker sets to have at the ready, then never really performed the trick. Today I revisited the trick, and looking at the jokers I prepared years earlier, I saw that one of the jokers is a DF joker. As the trick plays out, right before the reveal, the DF joker is right on top of the spectator's selection. I have played with this for a couple of hours, and cannot recall why I took the trouble to split some jokers and make a few DF's for this trick. Can anyone clue me in, lol?! PM if you perfer.
My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".
