There will be an auction sale in Chartres, France, on the 4th of March 2017.

All of the bundle comes from my friend Didier Moreau (Morax) private collection.

Didier is one of the main collectors in France for more than 40 years now, and was a very close friend of the late Christian Fechner.
He was the one who was in charge of Mr. Fechner collection during the last 12 years of his life.
A special catalog will be edited, but while waiting for it, here is a short list of some items :

There will be old books and periodicals, antique props from "recreational Physics" made of nickeled brass, brass, chrome-plated metal, "Martin" varnish...

Also, mechanical toys : Triksie the Magician dog ; Fox the Magician ; Bunny the Magician ; Mr Fox the Magician with the magical disappearing rabbit ; Bobo the Magician ; Clown the Magician ; Petit Magicien...
Most of them in their original box.

Magician's posters, varied documents about prestidigitation (catalogs, pictures, postal cards, Ephemera & Memorabilia...)

The MAIN PIECE will be a tricked automaton : The Chess Player.

Stage illusions (among which Yanco's Escaping Pole).

For the passionated : Decorative objects dealing with magic...

Illustrated plates, engravings, an inkpot from the 19th century (called "Frise-poulet"), Bronze figurines from the 19th century, some 19th century boxes for "Recreational Physics"...
