Sorry for being so vague, but I am looking for a card trick in which you start with a dozen or so cards and rip them in half. The separate halves are shuffled (?) Then through a series of spellings you end up with matching cards. I read this trick several years ago, but can't remember where. Any leads

On a side note, I'd recommend you to check Aldo Colombini's Jumbo Coincidence.
