I think the set up of performing a card trick for your camera is difficult, but why were the red cards blue? Even though I was genuinely trying to play along, there wasn't enough contrast between the cards for me to pick up on that as a heart--it came through as a spade on the riffle, simply because I wasn't seeing any red cards.
