In my ‘never ending quest’ to make a routine, I have [Thanks to Mr Keyl] – found a new direction… which in turn has given me some new questions/queries
So my plan now: I have a blue and red backed deck, each card is blank on the face [on which I have written different items], and the cards are numbered on the back. Blue back spec chooses a number – they get that card. The spec choosing from the red back deck does the same. So being a ‘smart ass’ – I have now forced my two cards The great thing about this is that the spec gets to hold the card [it has their number on] – they can see all the other cards have different words and numbers on. Free selection Now the questions/queries ONE Does anyone use Science Friction [?] – I guess the selected card [being on top] doesn’t have any sticky-ness – so the spec can freely hold it. Only the bottom cards will have any tell-tell signs if closely inspected… so I can hand them the card [and I’m clean?] – That way they won’t know I know what word they have. Unless they suspect me of learning all the numbers and what word they correspond to on each and every card. But me knowing the word, in their minds, isn’t even that crucial to the plot anyway. TWO The big downside… I can’t give them a choice of 1 – 52… as if I had 104 cards in my hands it would be obvious I had too many. Any idea what the optimum number is? I can keep each deck in a plastic box, or in elastic bands/handkerchiefs – so the size of the deck is not dependent on fitting into a normal box. I guess I want the highest number possible, that also looks realistic. So if I could give them a choice of 1 – 40, that seems good, but will the 80 card stack look way too much [?] I just can’t work out the best number of cards. I guess somewhere between 26 – 45. The spec will never handle the deck. Only their selected card. But after they selected I can go through the deck and say, ‘if you said 13 you would have got x, if you said 23 y….’ Maybe 39 [78 cards]? Then in the blue deck all the none force cards are 40 [so if the spec says 40, I can correct and say a number between 1 and 40, if not all numbers are there after the selection] – then the red deck they can choose 40 – 80 [again all forces can be card 80, so I can say between 40 and 80 please, if they select it] TL;DR Q1. Science Friction will the untreated card be ok to hand out [not sticky] Q2. What is the ideal stack size, in terms of looking like the number of options they have been given, and giving the highest number of choices Thanks again for all and any help, abuse, or advice |

For Q1, there is zero residue on untreated cards that come in contact with SF treated cards.
