Hello I am New to the Café and I just wanted to Say Hi. I am New the the world of Magic with a Strong interest in Street Magic and up close. I love Coin Tricks and Fire magic. I love the look on a persons face when a big ball of flames ignites and something spectacular comes out of it.

Welcome TheDesh,
If you are starting with fire it is doubtful that you have spent any time learning to connect with people on a personal level and drawing magic and wonder from less blatant effects. You are skipping over some very important territory and performing skills. We all come at Magic from a different perspective but you are choosing a particularly hard path to find subtle Magic (which can be some of the strongest). If you do go on with fire, get special training, licenses and Insurance! Get some training in what fuels are safest to handle long term (to save your liver). Working with fire will greatly reduce the venues open to you but I guess street Magic is another thing. It may mean that your act will not get it's full effect unless you are working after daylight hours. You might get into fire jugglery to appease these interests while you get some Magic experience. Sometimes fire jugglers have a strong safety culture and sometimes they don't. Do some reading and research before joining a group so you will have some way to judge. Remember, insurance will not fix a bad burn on you or an audience member. Think about possible regrets before you start. Sorry to be Debbie Downer but Dick's warning bears repeating. Best of luck to you and your audience. -Mary Mowder |

By the way, I admire anyone who is brave enough to tackle Coin Magic.

Hello I am new to the Café. Not a professional but love some self taught magic tricks from watching YouTube. What I enjoy most is being a proud inventor and manufacturer of the Moble Station for magicians. Check us out at www.mcchitech.com and I know you will love it. In fact there were some members of the Café have recently purchased the magician stations (we call it the Muilti Pro Station). Thank you for your time. Sincerely from Sonny and Monika
