When someone puts there heart and soul into contributing to the art of escape, it shouldn’t be taken lightly. David DeVal was one of these people and is work, achievement and knowledge live on in the Littler papers. With finally realising an almost lifetime commitment to behold the Littler papers, I am happy to hear that the April first went ahead as planned. With, until that day, only 25 copies of this small but precise work being out there, the chance of getting one was slim but not for the passing of one of the state holders. And the reason I use that term stake holder is for the small fortunes ones needs, or needed to acquire this unique work. Careers have been built or greatly aided by the Littler papers and are worth every dollar spent. For the remaining few copies now out there, they should rightly remain a secret as the legacy of David DeVal.

Having set up and ran the David De-Val site from 2012 to 2016, I passed over the Tribute site to David's family where it rightly belongs in 2017. The time and insight I spent on lengthy research in to the late David De-Val's career as an Escape Artist led me to discover many amazing things that today would have remained forgotten for us & future generations. I sadly never found any evidence of any "Littler Files" or "De-Val Papers" any such related historical papers relating to his life's work that was as described as having being sold as his "Secret Files"
I'm not an expert on his historical works or life but what I do know is based on my own factual investigations over the years. That aside the alleged actions to "Burn" these "Files" if in existence and the manner it was stated publically makes no sense.
Impossible is just another level of difficulty

As mentioned in another thread, I have ALL David's writings, sketches, letters, notes, photographs, published and unpublished, as well as his keys, devices, tools, audio and video tapes etc. Some material will be published in the future, and some will not.
What will be released will be what David wanted to be released. Riley |
