Hello folks,
Would you recommend bicycle bridge size deck for more difficult sleight of hand card magic? I mean stage card magic, back and front palming. I'm inspired mostly by Salvano, I have small, thin hands, so it might be difficult for me, but I want to give it a try. Standard bicycle cards are fine for classic back and front palming or for the production of multiple cards, but in the video below Salvano seems to be using smaller cards and his hands are bigger than mine. I don't even know how to perform those moves properly, nor where to find tutorials for them. I try to figure this out on my own. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sL7pNyR4Se0 |

My only suggestion would be to try and contact Tom Anders (Salvano Jr.) at www.salvano-jr.com and see if he can be of any help.
Cheers!

Stevios, I am far from expert with the subject,. What you need are manipulation cards.
The ones that I have are bridge sized, this is why the performers hands look big...probably. I haven't looked at the clip because I am getting low on data allowance. These cards are extremly thin and a third to half the deck can be back palmed just as easily as one single normal bike card. The backs to these cards are usually flesh coloured so they are easy to hide. Hope this is some help to you. |

Take a look at https://nnmagic.com/store/manipulation-s......-deluxe/
Norm Nielsen has some great manipulation cards and are worth every cent. |

He mainly uses back palm. Have a look on youtube for tutorials. You are right that when starting it is easier to practice with smaller cards

Thx for your advice.
I've been testing many different cards recently, I am more used to bicycle surface and softness, which is why bicycle bridge deck might suit me well. Manipulation cards are hard to get in Poland, but I will try to find them. The other idea is to have the backs of the cards coloured the same way as the curtain behind you. It also makes the cards almost invisible. |
