Who makes the best folding half on the market? I am looking for one that is made well enough to be able to have someone look at it from 12 to 16 inches away and not see anything. Not required but would be nice if the edge was sealed so not to see the band, but that can be overcome.

There's rarely any "best", it's all about what your requirements are, and what trade-offs you're willing to make.
Need a specific old half dollar? You can buy a custom one with the seam exactly where you want it. Want to save as much money as possible? Go with the cheapest one that's good enough, and it's "best" for you. Pretty much all but the very worst (Chinese knockoffs) will look fine from a foot away, unless you really know what you're looking for, or you get a bad angle/partial fold. As far as the edge goes, there are a handful of people that make one with the edge sealed, a common one that comes to mind is Tango - you're looking for the ones with the "internal band". That's less common for a folding than a flipper, just because it's more often in motion/changed away quickly. Hope that helps. |
