Ed, on the top of page 5 decomposed said his check would be released in 11 days.
That was back in 2017 so he probably got it by now. |

Here is the interesting part of you ask me. Read this thread and it is those who don’t work who want to question and give opinions about a very specific market. It is what is so frustrating about this section historically.

Absolutely agree. Once I hit 50 I noticed myself asking "why" more and more...about many things in life. Seriously having a, curiosity about why people do things in an effort to truly understand others, their mentalities, and their mindsets.
I regularly find myself thinking this here, in Tricky Business. It is the business section of this forum. For those interested in performing for profit as a business. Business-related issues, concerns, and operational aspects, plus contracts, paperwork, market understanding and execution and literally hundreds of additional entertainment business topics. So that leads us to only two types of people that should be attracted here 1.) those performing for profit and as a business that are interested in learning their knowledgebase and forwarding their performing and/or entertainment business/career, and 2.) those not yet doing so but have a sincere interest in learning about the business side of performing with an interest in doing so, regardless of part-time or full, as they move forward with their magic or related offerings. So with that in mind, here comes my why, why would others with no knowledge, experience, or interest come here, and more so feel compelled to offer uninformed, inexperienced, unknowleadgable thoughts and opinions? (Understand I am not directing this just to Ed at all) To attempt to chime in on a topic they have no knowledge or experience with? Especially knowing it could very easily derail the progression of a topic or thread? I see so many old, like 10-15 year old, threads being dug up for no other reason than just this. Why? What is the point or purpose? I have sincerely asked this question of since becoming a member here. I have absolutely no interest in card magic, or coin magic, so I would never even think of going to these forums, let alone attempting to post or contribute to something I have little or no knowledge about and could care less? So what makes this happen? Is it the misconception that we are somehow all peers on the same level? Is at an insatiable attempt just to be heard? Is it living vicariously through those doing what you have never done or are not doing? Seriously, I really wish to understand this. |
