Those look a little large to fit in a hat, the ones I was discussing were 5 inches in diameter. I had to use plastic putty sold at the craft store to plug the slit for coins, and drilled a round hole with a door knob hole maker, about 2 inches in size. All I had to do was paint the putty slit white.

It might be too big for a hat (170mm or 6.69 inches) but I'm taking a chance at this point. I can't find any other options. Thanks, Bill, for the specs on the hole.

I use the 2" fakini balls in my act all the time and never thought about them being too heavy. I wouldn't consider my hand, fingers arms strong although with the full set of balls (3 balls and a shell) they are a little difficult to handle but with practice, you can overcome any discomfort.
The fakini line is no longer being made so best bet is to look for used but as Bill said, many magicians don't know how to keep them or restore them to good condition.

Your units are wrong. 1.9 MM (sic) is roughly 1/16 of an inch. 2.4 MM (sic) is roughly 3/32 of an inch.

Good luck on that. Tannen's will tell you one thing over the phone and send you something else. And settling a dispute with them is like trying to take a case before the Supreme Court. Once Irv passed away, you had to deal directly with Tony Spina to get an honest deal with them.

Was very happy to see that Stevens had a few sets for sale. I purchased the green 21/8” and look forward to using them. I have a few other Fakini sets that I purchased many years ago and they really are prized possessions amongst my props. Someday I hope to give the newer brands a try.
