A lot of you know and love the Bicycle Elite Edition cards we launched at Penguin almost exactly one year ago.
The amount of wonderful feedback we've gotten on the soft, broken-in feel and ease of use has been incredible. Today we're happy to add a borderless option to the family with our Honeybee Elite Edition. These take a lot of the beautiful design elements of our popular Honeybee series, now with classic & innocent Red and Blue options. If you like performing gambling sleights and demos, these are the best cards ever for that application! Available now on Kickstarter at a very wallet-friendly price. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/pen......ng-cards Thanks!

Got them today. Very nice cards, I am really starting to like the 'Elite' stock.
One thing (and this is something I've noticed with some other cards too) they say they are traditionally cut, yet they faro from the face and not the backs. Does 'Traditionally cut' now mean something else? Anyway, not a biggie. Nice to have an all over back design that handles so pleasantly out of the box.

The term Traditionally cut (as popularized by Richard Turner) has always meant that the cards faro from faces to backs, aka a face-down faro when working from a table. All of the Elite family of decks are cut in this manner, where the blades go through the faces of the deck when cut at the factory.
Off-the-shelf bike decks have the blades go through the backs, which is typically referred to these days as a “standard cut”. Hope that helps!

Okay, thanks for clearing that up. I've used Phoenix cards exclusively for a while now, and I thought they were 'traditionally cut', but it turns out that those are punched through the backs, allowing an in the hands face down faro.
I noticed that the Elites faro the opposite way, so I was confused. Thanks.

Just got a couple of these recently.
Very nice decks, and the thin-crush stock makes them super soft and nice to handle. The amount of customization is just enough to make them look a bit more classy than your standard deck. I got mine for $5 each at an online retailer. For that price, I'm impressed and happy with them. |

The thinner stock + the all over back design really is nice for dealing bottoms with a whole deck.
Are these a limited run? Or will these be available ongoing?

My hope is to have them available on a fairly ongoing basis. There may be gaps between print runs. Time will tell as to whether overall demand is there.
Thanks!

Okay great, thanks. Glad to know they are not intended as a limited run at least.

Will they also come with a white border,as the yellow and black V2 cards?

No plans for bordered ones as of yet. A big reason for these was to offer the Elite feel with a borderless option. Since Elite Bikes and Marked Cards have borders, there are good options there. But never say never!

I like the borderless design, buy why on earth leave the honeybee off the design??? they just look like Bee brand cards now...
also would of been better if the back design of the tuck box was a full card back, like the old bicycle tuck boxes loved by magicians... |

Standard bees come in Bordered & Borderless, with and without bees (or logos) so it's mostly a matter of choosing which option we think will appeal to most users. We felt that these borderless colors looked better without the bees. We do still offer our Honeybee V2 in Black & Yellow, which have borders and have the honeybee as part of the back design. Quote:

We offer exactly that with the Bicycle Elite Edition - the older classic-style box. The Honeybee tuck is designed to pay homage to the classic Bee tucks, which do not have a full-size card on the back. Any options may be possible for future printings, so please keep the feedback coming! Thanks!
