Myself and the family will be in LA the first week of June for vacation (Universal Studios and a few days at Venice Beach) and I want to hit up the Magic Apple while I'm there. Everyone else in the family could care less about it, so I'm trying to find out if there is anything around the shop that they could do while I'm browsing? Walking distance preferred. And if you have any recommendations on things to do in that area, I'm open to suggestions. Thanks!

If you are staying in close proximity to Universal Studios, the best bet is to turn your family loose at Universal City Walk.
https://www.citywalkhollywood.com/ If that doesn't suit their fancy, the next best bet is a bit of a drive, but to let them go to Hollywood Boulevard. https://www.tripsavvy.com/hollywood-boulevard-1586946 Depending on the dates, and if you can bring a suit, we might be able to get you into the Magic Castle. http://www.magiccastle.com/ Hope you have a great time!

We'll be staying about a mile from Universal Studios, the city walk sounds perfect. The Castle is on my bucket list, but I have 4 kids all under 18 with me so that will have to wait for another trip, thanks though!

I used to live in Venice Beach, right on Ocean Front Walk. You'll enjoy the madness ... but watch your wallets and pocketbooks!
