Then I recieved my Mendoza combo cups aluminium set from RnT. They come with 1 1/8 inch balls, and I also bought five 1 inch balls, one of them gimmicked. I have not very big hands, and found that the 1 1/8 inch balls are too big and difficult to handle. And I did not have any options for trying these before bying...
The 1 inch balls feel better, but when I put the gimmicked ball into the stack and the chop cup over, the ball is too small and will not get hold of the cup. I have tried to adjust the ball, but that does not solve the problem. The only thing that happens, is that it is almost impossible to get it out from the cup... So I took another look at RnT, and found a set that uses 7/8 inch balls, the Monti combo copper cups set. So now I would like to ask, is this set as good as the Mendoza set? I see Bob White in his DVD says he prefer 3/4 inch balls. But I suppose there can’t be a big difference between a 7/8 and 3/4 inch ball? Anyone that knows if a 3/4 inch ball also will get hold of the gimmicked cup in this set? So please, give me some advice her. Should I go for the Monti set, or another..? |
