What's on your table or list for this summer?

I just saw this item and ... almost "heard" the opening theme from the TV show "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea".

"Luke, The Gospel of Amazement" by Michael Card. Already half finished, great commentary.

My daughters just gave me, for Father’s Dsy; “The Autobiography of James T. Kirk!” If you’re a “Star Trek” fan (especially of the original series) you remember little hints as to Kirk’s past, people he met, events that shaped his life. Well, they seem to all be here; Finnegan, Ruth, Carol Marcus, the massacre on Talos IV (I might be confusing that planet with the one in the pilot.), Ben Finney and his “one mistake.” It’s all done in a light, breezy manner that gives you a sense of why this man chose space, and specifically, command of a starship.
