Hi
I recently became interested in the effect where you portend to remove a pip from a playing card. Normally is done with the 3 and you remove the center pip to make it a 2. Essentially it’s a color change. I want to explore different versions and methods besides the obvious one, both with normal and or special cards. I know Tamariz has one with a small gaffer card. Terry Lunceford has another funny version. Any other ideas? I tried searching in the Dennis Behr database but couldn’t find it. Thanks!

Allan Ackerman's "Easy Off Pips" from Here's My Card. Unfortunately the book has been OOP for a long time. There are quite a number of great ideas in the book too.

John Carney in Carneycipia had a reverse version, Slick Pip.
Paul Cummins has PIPS! In FASDIU (both 1 and 2 are great books!) Vernon's version of course is great. |

Smudge - Ray Kosby's Impossible Card Magic DVD.The card case is used as a vacuum cleaner to visually erase the center pip of a three. The three is now a two and an ace is found inside the card case.
