One shuffle stacks 4 aces. |

I'm not sure that anybody (gambler or magician) shuffles like that in real life?
It's great that you can drop the four aces as you do ... but tipping the faces of the deck to whomever is sitting across from you seems to render your efforts a bit misplaced? I thought it might be an "asian thing" , but I'm not seeing any reference to that type of shuffle in Lance's The Asian Hustle? What is this shuffle for?

Hmmm...A little contrived "video magic" perhaps?

But if your private games approve of this shuffle, then obviously your stacking Aces using this shuffle would work just fine. I see the second hindu shuffle, and can appreciate that such a shuffle is legitimate and common ... but the initial shuffle, tilting the deck and broadly exposing the face of the cards towards the rest of the table would seem to offer any number of players who had eyes quite the advantage? Are you saying this is a common shuffle in Asia? As I noted above, it's nowhere to be found in Lances book? I can honestly appreciate your stacking skills ... but without knowing the full story on what is obviously a non-standard shuffle - those skills aren't really put into the proper perspective.

Lance details not only the shuffles, but also how hustlers use various sleights when doing the Hindu Shuffle. Lances book is the bible of cheating with the Hindu Shuffle, indeed it's probably the only book out there on the subject matter that was written by somebody who is an expert in Asian shuffling procedures and styles.

I am continually shocked at what does get by in private games.
I thought the same thing about the exposed card. But if he says it plays I guess it does.

What is the difference between these videos and the ones I posted some time ago. ? They look like the same procedure.

These type videos have been posted before and they are fun to watch.
However, it is hard to ascertain how "real" they are. These are very short videos taking a quick snap shot in time - only 15 seconds or so long, the angles shown are ridiculous, one does not know what preceded the move, how many times the move was attempted to achieve the results shown and they can be easily doctored to achieve unrealistic outcomes. The last time these type videos were posted by SimonCard they looked pretty much the same. AMcD demonstrated how easy it is to doctor a video such as this to achieve fantastic results. I don't know how real these videos are, so for me it would be impossible to meaningfully discuss what is being shown or to take them too seriously. However, if they were shot from and angle straight on, or the type angle one would see in a real game, that certainly would be better, but still... But as I said, they are certainly fun to watch. Here is a previous thread started by SimonCard which should prove interesting. Unfortunately some of the videos have been deleted. http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......orum=188 |
